Reflection of Light

When light falls on a polished surface, it bounces back. This phenomenon is called reflection of light.

Laws of Reflection

1. The angle of incidence ($\angle i$) is equal to the angle of reflection ($\angle r$):

$$\angle i = \angle r$$

2. The incident ray, the reflected ray, and the normal at the point of incidence all lie in the same plane.
